It’s that time of year when many of us are starting to think about booking our summer holidays. If you love to swim the lure of a water park while on holiday is one that is hard to resist, but where are the best parks? Its great to discover an amazing park while away but if you want to get a bit more organised here are (in our opinion) the best water parks to visit in southern Europe for 2019.
SPAIN:
Salou - Aquopolis
Salou is one of the most popular destinations for families in Spain and this park has rides for all ages from rapids, wave pools and for the thrill seekers in your family the Kamikaze, Boomerang and the Black Hole - these rides really aren’t for the faint-hearted. SplashWorld also features a section dedicated for children under 10 with twirly slides and splash fountains which will keep the little ones happy too.
Costa Del Sol - SplashWorld
This version of SplashWorld features a space bowl, classic tube slides, body slides and a couple of Kamikaze slides which are suitable for children as long as they are 120cm or over. Younger children have their own dedicated park called Spray Park which features lots of mini slides and the fact it’s Pirate themed just makes it even better! If you are staying in the town for your holiday there is also a shuttle bus that can take you to and from the park from the city centre.
GREECE: Corfu - Aqualand
Corfu’s Aqualand has fifteen different water themed rides which cater for all levels of thrill seekers as there are plenty of Kamikaze slides but for the less adventurous there is family rafting and even a lazy river ride. Find varied entertainment throughout the day and a shuttle service to Corfu town making this park really popular for families.
CANARY ISLANDS: Lanzarote - Lanzasur Splash
This water park is minutes away from the Playa Flamingo Beach, has lots of flumes and rides for all ages and features the classic water park must-have a lazy river ride and wave pool. For the little ones they have their own section to play in safely which features a kids club, mini disco and a daily activity programme.
Tenerife - Siam Park
This amazing themed water park just had to be on the list! Siam Park is great for all ages, for the adrenaline junkies you have the Tower of Power and The Dragon, and for those that want to keep it a little more relaxed there is the lazy river and a huge wave pool. Youngsters will love the lost city which features a massive fortress teeming with bridges, waterfalls tipping buckets and 9 slides - it really is an amazing park!
