The Best UK Water Parks

Have you ever wondered what the most exciting water parks are in the UK? Here are five of our favourites...  

In at number five, we have the Blue Lagoon in Wales. It's fun for all the family. They have loads of slides and flumes, and if you bring a little one, there's even Nippers Cove. The main attraction at Blue Lagoon is the wave pool. You have six different patterns of waves, and they gently crash against a sloping beach. The wave pool even has eight geysers bubbling away near the beach, while water cannons hurl arcs of water into the pool. If that doesn't float your boat, they even have a lazy river, so that's going to gently float you around the park.  

In at number four, we have Water World in Stoke-on-Trent. This water park features a four-lane family slide, so you'll be able to see who's the quickest in your family. It's no surprise that this water park has over 400,000 visitors a year. Water World features an outside pool, and it has loads of slides and flumes for all the family.  

In at number three we have Splashdown Waterpark in Poole. The park has tons of slides and flumes, inside and out. There's even a Buccaneers Bay for all those little nippers. If you're feeling brave, you can even go on the Space Bowl.  

In at number two, we have Sandcastle in Blackpool. This is the biggest water park in the whole of the UK, and it features 18, yes I will repeat that, 18 water slides. Not only that, but it's home to the world's longest indoor roller coaster water slide, as well as the first indoor vertical drop slide. But be careful, though, there's a giant tipping coconut which holds up to 600 gallons of water, and that can spill out onto unsuspecting visitors. Not only that, there's mini water slides, water cannons and even jets.  

In at number one, we have the Alton Towers water park, also known as Splash Landings, in Staffordshire. There are hundreds of interactive water features, from lazy rivers, bubbling pools, and even tree houses. There are loads of snack bars and restaurants, so you can rest assured your family won't go hungry. If you want to make a weekend of it, there is a hotel on site, and all the rooms are themed like you're in the Caribbean. The park's log flume was the longest log flume in the world, lasting for a whopping six minutes, and it has a total drop of 26 metres.
